Why Fabbruccio Boots Are Perfect For You
Start with the object. Full-grain leather, a line that holds, a heel drawn to carry it. Cherry-red soft leather from the footbed to the top of the shaft, where nobody but you will see it. Nothing stamped down the side to tell anyone what it cost. If you want the boot, you want it before you know anything else about it, and that is the right order.
Where the money goes
A boot has a short list of expensive parts. The hide. The last it is built on. The stitching. The finishing, and the hours of the people doing it. Everything past that list is a name, and the cost of keeping that name expensive: the flagship stores, the campaigns, the seasonal spectacle, the margin that pays for all of it.
We build the first list and skip the second. There is no logo on the outside of a Fabbruccio, and no premium attached to one. That is the whole argument, and the rest of this page is just the receipts.
The leather
Full-grain: the top layer of the hide with the grain left intact, uncorrected and uncoated. It is the part most factories sand down and spray over, because corrected grain is cheaper, more uniform, and easier to cut around. Full-grain is none of those things. It keeps the marks the animal kept, it takes polish, and it takes on patina instead of cracking and peeling.
The last
Every style is built on a wider last: wider calf, wider ankle, a deeper toe box. A narrow last flatters a photograph, and it is the cheaper thing to draw. A wider one has to be shaped to flatter a leg, which takes longer and costs more.

The signature is on the inside
Cherry-red soft leather, edge to edge, in every boot. Soft leather, not suede, so it breathes and softens with wear. It is the one note of color in an otherwise quiet object, and the only mark the house puts on the product. You see it when you pull the boot on. Nobody else does.
Florence is stitched, not glued
The Florence is Goodyear-welted: the sole is stitched to the upper through a leather welt rather than glued. It is slower to build and it is the reason a cobbler can take the sole off and stitch a fresh one on. It is the heirloom of the line, made to order in small runs, and the only style in the collection built this way.
Made to be repaired
The welt is the part a cobbler takes off. On the Florence it lets him do it cleanly, again and again. The other eight use a super lightweight construction: handmade in the same small runs, on the same wider last, in the same leather, and repairable by any good cobbler, just not engineered for endless repeats. Nothing in the collection is built to be thrown away.

What are they made of?
