Materials

Full-grain leather on the upper, the top layer of the hide, so it takes on patina instead of cracking. Cherry-red soft-leather lining, edge to edge. Soft leather, not suede. Slim leather ankle strap with a metal buckle, and the Fabbruccio medallion on the outside of the shaft.

Construction

Super lightweight construction on a rubber outsole. Handmade in small runs.

Heel and silhouette

Two and a half inch pencil heel, tapered to a small footprint at the floor. Mid-calf shaft with a full-length side zip, and a slim ankle strap that buckles at the outside. Pointed toe.

Care and repair

Wipe with a damp cloth and condition the leather now and then. The collection is built to be repaired: when the rubber outsole or the heel tips wear, any quality cobbler can renew them.

The heel

Two and a half inches, tapered to a point.

The pencil heel narrows the whole way down to a small footprint at the floor. From behind it is what sets the line of the boot, and it is the reason the Cleopatra reads differently from every other shape in the collection.

The lining

The signature is on the inside.

A cherry-red soft-leather lining, edge to edge, showing at the collar once the boot is on. Against the brown it is the one note of color on the whole boot, and it is the same red inside every Fabbruccio. Soft leather rather than suede, so it breathes and softens with wear.

The build

The Cleopatra heel is a 2.5 inch cone, wider at the base than a stiletto and set under the weight rather than behind it. That is a construction choice, not a compromise on the line.

How does the brown leather age compared to black?

The brown full-grain leather develops a beautiful patina over time, creating rich depth and character unique to your wear pattern. Unlike black which maintains consistency, brown becomes more distinguished with age.

How does the sizing run?
